Round Three-Start!- Part 1

Something was wrong. Anyone walking by X's room could tell that. But no one stopped to help. They knew what he was like and that he would probably kill them if they disturbed him.

Inside Espeon was looking upon a figure struggling upon the floor. It was X struggling to heal.

"Relax." Espeon said to it through psychic. "Only once you are at peace can you return to normal.

"Gragghgh.. hacckcck!" he growled as he struggled.

"Be still X.  You must learn to control it."

"Grahhh....aggghh " X said as he began to begin getting calmer. In a matter on moments, X was laying on the floor panting heavily, completely fine.

"Good it seems like we are getting better." Espeon said to him.

"Heh&...;heh....It's not. I'm still losing control. If I can't get any medicine I'll lose control and hurt someone." X said as he got up slowly.

"It's alright. Once we win the tournament we will be able to collect the money and find some medicine."

"I hope so. Don't want another incident." X said as Espeon jumped onto his shoulder.
"C'mon Round results are probably up. Let's go see which unfortunate person I knocked out."

X and Espeon slowly exited the room. No one was in the hail, no suspicions raised. They left the room, locked the door and walked down to the arena.

The halls were empty just like last time the round had been advanced. It seemed like X always found the right time to go find the results.

He walked into the room and saw people clawing to get to the board.  He looked over with a slight glance and saw that his name was at the top of the list.

"Hmm nothing to be surprised about." X muttered to himself.

"Guys!" someone yelled. X turned around and saw a kid in an orange jacket with glasses and his Fearow running into the arena. "Hero's coming! She's about to announce the next round."

Everyone stopped and turned towards the entrance. For a moment no one moved. Then suddenly three Pokémon flew into the room. A Charizard, a Flygon and a Salamance. They flew around the room as Hero and Farren walked in followed by a Dragonair.

Hero and Farren were both sporting new outfits. Hero was wearing a black top with a spotted armband and black pants. A drastic change from her usual hostess outfit. Farren on the other hand was sporting a black jacket with blue tech lines.

"Contestants first off we would like to congratulate you on making it this far into the PGO tournament. A fair number of people have dropped out leaving only you guys left. But don't think things will get easier. From here on out, each challenge will test everything you all are capable of."

Hero looked around with a large grin on her face. The faces of the people in the arena were stern and still waiting to see what she would say next.

"Which is why," She continued on "Your next match will feature a battle with some of the most dangerous Pokémon around! The fabled Dragon type! Each of you will choose two Pokémon to use in battle. You shall either be battling Charizard, Flygon, Salamance or Dragonair! And the trainer of these majestic dragons is none other than me." Hero said with a grin.

Some of the contestants look surprised. X wasn't. He wanted a challenge and hopefully this could be it.

"You have some time to decide. Choose wisely!" And with that Hero, Farren and the dragons walked out.

X walked out of the room before anyone else could catch him.  He darted back quickly to the training room and called out his team.

"Alright guys it is time to decide who we shall use. Now I can't use Slash and Metagross. You too would get killed off by Charizard. Hydro the dragons are too fast for you. So you're out. So that leaves Spirtiomb, Wigglytuff and Espeon. Spirit I'm gonna give you a break after last round. So that means I shall be using Espeon and Wigglytuff."

X called the rest of his team back. He then looked down at Wigglytuff and Espeon and said "Alright guys we got a big match and I'm trusting you guys to do your best. Now Hero will probably go with Dragonair and Salamance so you guys need to.."

"You're worrying to much kid." A voice interrupted X's speech. X looked up and saw a  40 year old man standing above him. He had the face of someone who live a long life and he wore a poncho. He was followed by a Breloom and a Dunsparce.

"What concern is it of yours?" X asked in a hostile voice. He got up and face the man eye to eye.

"No need to get hostile kid. Just trying to look out for you youngins." He held out his hand "Names Garven. Garven Pells."

X looked hesitant for a moment then held out his claw and shook Garven's hand. "Name's X." Espeon jumped down and approached the Breloom.

"Espeon don't cause any trouble." X said with a sharp tone.

"Why not?" Espeon responded with a snicker in her voice. "I just want to make friends."

The Breloom began backing away slowly. "Keep that thing away from me!" it yelled.

Espeon with a glint of trouble in its eyes pounced at the Breloom. It dodged and started retreating down the hall.

"Get back here you overgrown mushroom!" Espeon hissed as she chased after it.

X and Garven just stood there bewildered at what just unfolded.

"I'll go stop them" X said as he facepalmed.

"No need. Hugo can take care of himself." Garven said as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it. He took a deep breath and began taking a smoke.

"Alright." X said as he leaned back against the wall. They both stood there awkwardly for a minute or two. X looked over and asked "You're not gonna ask me about my disfigurement?"

"Nope." Garven said looking straight ahead "You got your secrets , I got mine."

"Al..alright." X said take back aback by Garven's comment. They stood there silently for a minute until they heard the faint cries of a Breloom getting closer.

"Right on cue." Garven remarked, pulling out Hugo's pokeball. A moment later Hugo appeared still being chase by Espeon. He sprinted down the hallway as Espeon chased him. As he passed Garven he was called back into his pokeball. Espeon slid to a stop and crashed into the wall.

"You deserve that." X said looking down.

Suddeny a voice on the intercom sounded and said "Garven Pellis your match begins in ten minutes."

"Well I ought to get ready." He said picking up his Dunsparce and placing it on his shoulder "It was nice talking to you X."

"You too." X responded with a grin.

Garven began to walk away before he stopped, turned around and said "Oh X I thought I should warn you. I've seen a girl with a beanie and large eyes following you around a fair amount. Only nice to give you a fair warning." And with that he walked off.

X stood there curious about what Garven said before he looked over at the corner. A girl with big eyes and a beanie was staring directly at him.
"
Uhhh…" X muttered to himself briskly walking away, feeling creeped out.

*Twenty Minutes Later*

"X it is time for your battle." The voice on the intercom announced.

X stood at the door to the arena with Wigglytuff and Espeon. "You tow ready for this?" He asked. They both nodded in unison. "Alright let's do this." X said as he walked in to the arena.
